About the Symposium
The Symposium for Emerging Technology (SET) is Nigeria’s dedicated platform for exploring the future of technology, innovation, and research. Now in its 4th year, SET convenes experts, practitioners, and institutions to discuss emerging technologies and their role in building sustainable, future-ready systems across the country.
Since inception, the symposium has hosted over 2,500 participants, 85 expert speakers, 60 academic and research institutions, 30 private sector organizations, 15 government agencies, and attendees from across all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. SET continues to grow as a trusted space for meaningful dialogue, credible thought leadership, and actionable insights into Nigeria’s technological future.
SET supports Nigeria’s journey toward sustainable innovation by creating space for high-impact conversations around emerging technologies, applied research, product development, and commercialization. It encourages collaboration across academia, industry, and public institutions, highlighting how technology can power inclusive growth and national competitiveness.
Each edition of the symposium features keynote sessions, panel discussions, research showcases, startup insights, and expert-led technical tracks.
